Mission Statement
The Prairie du Chien Police Department, together with citizens and other entities, will serve, protect, and educate our community in order to provide a safe and peaceful environment.

Part-Time Employment:
In order to more efficiently fulfill its mission, the Prairie du Chien Police Department employs a number of part-time sworn police officers. These officers perform exactly the same duties as their full-time counterparts and are subject to the same hiring and training standards.
